Kelgray Sales Director, Darren Wildman has branded the PPMA Show 2015 as an “outstanding success” for the company. Hours of time and effort went into making the show the most successful in Kelgray’s proud 43 year history.
The NEC in Birmingham hosted the annual event run by The Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) and is nationally respected as “The UK’s Premier Processing & Packaging Exhibition”. This year’s show ran from 29th September – 1st October.
Kelgray presented the very latest in state of the art technology, which included automated labelling solutions, barcode verification/compliance checking and various mobile computing products.
There was a significant amount of interest in Kelgray from an array of blue-chip companies, with many commenting on how well designed and interactively engaging the stand was. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit Kelgray on stand C65!
PPMA Show 2015 also provided the opportunity for Kelgray to launch the next generation of Mectec Print and Apply machines. A complete refresh has taken place, with a brand new central controller with additional outputs, extra memory and processing power to cope with the increasing and demanding data flow required in today’s fast moving production lines.
The new machines have enhanced media capacity, to enable less downtime and increase throughput, whilst media windows allow the user, at a glance, to monitor media as it is used. There is a new HMI touch screen (IP rated rugged tablet) to allow more visual depictions of the label designs and the facility to add variable data quickly and easily at line operator level. This coupled with innovative improvements, such as a magnetic quick release print heads, which allow for user change rather than engineer visits and more accurate, precise label guides lead to improved application reliability.
The new range from Mectec will continue to mean that the brand stays at the top of the tree as Europe’s best selling and most successful automated Print and Apply product range.
